Enjoy Your Pergola All Year Round: Graphenaton and Coublanc Unveil a Graphene-Based Heating Panel at Batimat

Lyon, September 29, 2026
Graphenaton, a Franco-Swiss deep-tech company specializing in graphene-printed functional films, and Coublanc, a French manufacturer of bioclimatic pergolas, are unveiling their heated pergola panel at Batimat 2026. Featuring printed graphene ABF® film, it blends seamlessly into the pergola’s architecture and allows for extended evenings outdoors, from fall through spring.
The bioclimatic pergola has become a true living space. But as soon as the evenings get cooler, people tend to leave it. With this heating panel, Graphenaton and Coublanc are meeting a strong demand from homeowners: an elegant heating solution that isn’t just added to the pergola—it’s an integral part of it.
A design that blends into the pergola
The panel features a horizontal format measuring 70 × 40 cm, an aluminum frame that can be painted in the color of your choice, and a smoked black glass front. It integrates directly into the pergola’s structure as a module, or can be mounted on the wall or suspended, depending on the layout of each patio. No freestanding unit, no visible cables: the heat is there, but the unit is out of sight.
Adjustable heat, when you need it
With a power output of 600 W, the panel offers three heat settings (33%, 66%, and 100%) controlled by the Coublanc control module. Whether it’s an appetizer in October or a dinner in March, everyone can adjust the heat to suit the occasion—without noise or a red glow.
ABF®, heat printed onto graphene
At the heart of the panel is Graphenaton’s ABF® (Active Building Film): a thin film onto which a graphene-based ink is printed to transform the entire surface into a heat source. This technology, developed by Graphenaton’s teams in Lyon, allows for the elegant integration of heating into the building structure rather than adding it as an afterthought. The pergola is one of its first applications for the general public.
“With Coublanc, printed graphene is becoming part of everyday life for homeowners. This panel demonstrates what ABF® can do: provide even, comfortable heat that’s integrated into the architecture—elegant and invisible. Batimat is the ideal venue to showcase it to the professionals who will be installing it for their clients in the future.”
